Middle eastern folk music travels from Istanbul to the world and ends up in Aarhus.
Seyyah, which means ‘the traveling’ was formed in France in 2017, and consists of half French and half Turkish members. With a curios spirit and an open mind, the band has spent the last two years trusting the unraveling nature of traveling and their common faith in new experiences as their musical compass. Travelling from their base in Istanbul the band quickly discovered a strong passion for the traditional folk music of Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia and Aserbajdsjan. Now, the goal is to share, celebrate and pass on the stories that have meet on their travels. This is their purpose as they visit Aarhus and det turkise telt this summer.
Seyyah will play in det turkise telt Friday the 6th of September at 18:30.
