Dengue Dengue Dengue is ready to invite you on an audiovisual trip into their vibrant and intoxicating sound universe. Taking their departure in a liquid and organic mix between the traditional and the modern, the Peruvian DJ and producer-dou manage to strike a hunting balance between tribal soundbites from all over the world and progressive club-music from the electronic Western scene. The result seems both very natural and present while constantly escaping the realm of the world it was created in. Most importantly it is almost impossible not to move with. Formed in the sommer of 2010, Dengue Dengue Dengue still holds the local chicha-music traditions dear. The Latin American cumbia is ever present in a soundscape that knows no boundaries. Everything from traditional salsa to progressive Chicago footwork, hard hitting techno and slow dub is within reach, and is often mixed together with no regard for classical genre-categories. The music strikes a sound that unfolds both past and future at one and the same time, and the audience can do nothing both follow the to masked DJ’s into their spiritual and mythical party. Do not miss this on!
